Copying from template preference accounts

If your surgery has template user preferences accounts for each staff type, these should be copied when a new staff member has their initial login supervised.

This process is only recommended for new starters. Doing so for staff that have worked with a service for some time as it may undo preferences they have set.

1. Open User Preferences and select Copy from Another User
2. Confirm you wish to proceed
3. Select the appropriate template preferences account
   e.g. Clinician non-prescriber
   
4. Confirm at prompts to proceed
5. Click Ok on User Preferences and restart SystmOne to save this.

If you do not have template preference accounts

Do not use the process above to copy from existing staff. Those individuals have already seen, read, understood, and understandably dismissed these warnings as well as other settings. This leaves new staff with gaps in their knowledge and leads to wasted resource and even significant events.
