GP2GP did not arrive

Modified on Tue, 19 Mar at 2:10 PM

On occasion, despite tracing and registration a patient correctly, you may not receive the electronic record via GP2GP.

In some cases, the electronic version of the record cannot be sent, and you will need to await the printed record that the prior surgery a obligated to send in these cases.

What you can try

If you receive the GP2GP Transfer In or GP2GP Transfer In - Returning Patient Task you will typically receive this update shortly after registration:

"SystmOne has received the patient record from the previous practice via GP2GP. You should action this task to import this data into the patient's SystmOne record.

The record should be reviewed prior to being saved."

If you have not received this update to the Task within 72 hours of registering the patient; use the GP2GP Transfers screen to identify the prior surgery and contact details.

Documentation for this screen is available in SystmOne > Help > Support & FAQs > Documents & Training Guides

Use those details to contact the surgery and ask that they resend the extract.

?If they are an EMIS surgery, staff with suitable access rights can do this from: EMIS "ball" > Workflow Manager > GP2GP > Unacknowledged, Locate the patient and Resend extract

Note that there may be many reasons they cannot do this and this will require your surgery to await the full record printout.
