When did you last check/update your details?

It's important to keep your smartcard profile up to date so;

  1. You can perform a self-service smartcard unlock if it gets locked
  2. The Registration Authority (smartcard team) can reach you if there are issues with your account

To check/update your details

  1. Go to the Spine portal and select ‘Care Identity Management‘
  2. Login with your smartcard or other registered authentication method
  3. Select ‘View your profile’
  4. Next to your contact details select ‘Change’
  5. Enter your email address and select ‘Update’

The email address must be from an approved source, this includes all addresses ending .nhs.uk and @nhs.net as well as list of other approved domains.


⚠️ If your identity details such as name, date of birth, National Insurance Number, Passport Number, Driving Licence number are incorrect or missing; report this to the Registration Authority.
